Behind our training and sales stable is a dedicated team with a shared passion: the training and placement of first-class Hanoverian and Spanish horses. Each team member contributes their individual strengths, many years of experience and a genuine understanding of horses – for sound training, trusting cooperation and lasting success in equestrian sport.
Whether professional training of young horses, individual riding training or personal advice when buying a horse – quality, fairness and the well-being of the horse are always our top priority.

Owner
Anja Rietbrock completed her apprenticeship with Hans-Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen. Other instructors were Fritz Ligges, Peter Luther and Uwe Schulten-Baumer. This was followed by success at competitions up to Grand Prix in dressage and show jumping. She was awarded the Golden Riding Badge in both disciplines.
When you meet Anja Rietbrock, you inevitably ask yourself: “How does she actually do it all?” Breeding, training, selling, apprenticeship of her Apprentices and trainees, judging – and all with an ease that seems almost magical.
But that’s not all. When it comes to marketing and sales, Anja is also the woman who does everything from a single source. The “all-round carefree package” for every horse lover looking for a reliable partner. In short: hats off to Anja Rietbrock. The woman somehow does everything, and with a smile that says: “Bring it on – I’m ready.”
Senior Boss
Kristin Rietbrock and senior boss takes care of all administrative matters and, at over 80, still sits enthusiastically in the saddle of the PRE gray mare, affectionately called “Chica”, when time permits. She has also been awarded the Golden Riding Badge.
How do you stay fit at over 80 – and still ride like there’s no tomorrow? You’ll have to ask Kristin. They say that age is just a number, but in the case of our senior boss, that’s more than 100 percent true, with a little interest thrown in for good measure.
At over 80 years old, she is not only firmly in the saddle, but also gallops through everyday office life as if she were a young foal on speed.
While others are content with being a pensioner, she shows how to do it right!
But what is her secret? Fit as a fiddle and administratively organized down to the last corner? You have to ask Kristin.
Stables Chief
Matthias, our stable manager, makes sure that all our horses are well and perfectly looked after. He “feels like he’s always been part of our stable team – and to be honest: without him, things wouldn’t run so smoothly here. It is particularly important to him that the horses are not only clean and well-fed, but also feel comfortable.
From morning feeding to evening checks. With a keen eye for detail and an unshakeable sense of order, he not only keeps the horses happy, but also the team together.
He never loses his sense of humor: when a particularly stubborn horse makes its own plans, he responds with a mixture of composure and a mischievous smile that shows: “I’ve got this under control – or at least almost.”
His work is indispensable, his commitment remarkable and his composure often enviable. In short: our stable manager brings structure to the daily horse chaos – and does so with a twinkle in his eye.
Apprentice Equestrian with Focus on riding
Marie Ehlen is a dedicated trainee in horse management with a focus on riding and horse training. She rides dressage up to advanced (S) level and show jumping up to elementary (L) level with great passion.
Working with young horses is particularly close to her heart – from breaking in to individual support and development. Marie loves discovering the potential of young four-legged friends and carefully introducing them to their tasks.
With patience, sensitivity and a great deal of commitment, she pursues her goal of preparing the horses for their future challenges in the best possible way – from warmbloods, dressage horses and show jumpers to Iberians and ponies.
Apprentice Equestrian with Focus maintenance
Joana is our trainee with a focus on service and husbandry, and she has to deal with a very special clientele: young horses. These young talents are cute, but often also quite energetic – and not always easy to convince that lunging means more than just “running in circles”.
In short, being a horse handler in the service & husbandry sector is the perfect job for anyone who loves horses, likes to get stuck in and doesn’t lose their sense of humor even in stressful situations. Joanna is an indispensable wheel in our business.
Our horses – from small foals to young up-and-coming talents to experienced seniors – really appreciate her keen instinct and loving nature. With a lot of heart and patience, she looks after each individual four-legged friend and ensures that our horse family feels completely at ease.
Security & Observers
Our furry friends accompany us throughout the day and keep us and the horses company while we work.
If you think Barockmeetsclassis is a stable of quiet elegance, where only horses in buns and riders in white breeches tiptoe through the arena, then you haven’t been here yet.
Because we don’t just have piaffe, passage, jumping and lots of training – we also have paws that paw across the picture, dogs that comment on the lessons (usually barking) and a stable community that somehow finds exactly that wonderful.
Do you love horses and want to gain a lot of practice – whether in riding, jumping or dressage? Then you’ve come to the right place! We are always happy to welcome motivated interns who are passionate about what they do and want to learn something new every day.
With us, you can experience at first hand what everyday life is like at a riding stables, from mucking out the stables to training the horses. Whether you are just starting out or already have experience – you are welcome here and will have the chance to develop yourself further.
