ANCCE visits the Rietbrock Stables – Focus on PRE horses in Germany
We recently welcomed some very special visitors to the Rietbrock Stables: the ANCCE, the official world association for the Purebred Spanish Horse (Pura Raza Española – PRE), visited us with a film crew. The aim was to document the versatile use of the PRE outside Spain – and our stables were able to show how these special horses live, work, and inspire here in Germany.
PRE – Spain’s equine treasure, now in Germany
The PRE is no longer an insider tip. In Germany, it is gaining more fans every year – not only because of its beauty, but above all because of its friendly nature, its even temperament, and its amazing versatility. This was precisely the focus of the interview with Anja Rietbrock, which was conducted during the filming.

Anja Rietbrock summed it up:
“The PRE is not only eye-catching, but also a real all-rounder. You can ride it in dressage, compete in tournaments, take part in working equitation, or simply gallop leisurely through the woods on the weekend. It is eager to learn, reliable, and incredibly comfortable to sit on – perfect for older riders or those returning to riding who are looking for a safe but sensitive horse.”
A look behind the scenes
The film crew accompanied us through a normal but very lively day at the stable. They captured scenes of riding, ground work, and also of spending time with the horses—because the PRE is not only a capable partner under the saddle, but also a loyal companion in everyday life.
It became clear that our focus is not on sporting ambition, but on the harmonious relationship between humans and horses – based on respect, trust, and enjoyment of the time spent together.
A special day – a great honor
We are very proud that the ANCCE chose our stable to present the PRE in Germany. It shows how much this breed is appreciated in this country – not only for sport, but above all for its reliability, elegance, and good heart.
